Impressions from the 10th Cherry Blossom Festival 2016

On May 15, the 10th Fort Wayne Cherry Blossom Festival took place at the Allen County Public Library downtown. It was an amazing display of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture in Fort Wayne.

Last year’s attendance was a record high! About 10,000 people got together for the CBF. The Great Hall of the Fort Wayne downtown Allen County Public Library completely crowded right after the Cherry Blossom Festival opened at 12 noon.  A congestion similar to Tokyo Station or Shinjyuku Station during rush hour. Hurriedly, the workshop for Origami and paper cutting were pushed back toward the wall to keep a wider path for visitors.

Please read on in the Kawara-Ban #50 for a full report and lots of pictures.
